What a difference a president makes. During Barack Obama’s tenure as POTUS, law enforcement officials were constantly under attack – and under fire by radicals from Black Lives Matter – all due to the manner in which Obama treated thugs versus police officers.
While Obama attended funeral ceremonies for dangerous lawbreakers killed by police in the line of duty, he never extended a similar gesture towards the men and women in blue who were gunned down by criminals. In effect, he empowered offenders at the expense of law enforcement.
Now there’s a new sheriff in town – President Donald J. Trump – and he made it clear to policemen and women across the country that he has their backs.
During a meeting at the White House on Tuesday with the Fraternal Order of Police, Trump said:
“As I traveled the country during my campaign, I had the great privilege to spend time with amazing police officers who risk their lives every day to keep us safe, and I made a crucial pledge,” POTUS stated. “We will always support — and you people know that better than anybody, you know me — the incredible men and women of law enforcement.”
“I will always have your back 100 percent like you’ve always had mine and you showed that on November 8th.”
